Nut Vodka – Walnut and Pine Nut Vodka Recipes

Nut vodka can be stored away from direct sunlight for up to 3 years. It has ABV 35-37% (without sugar). You can re-use partitions, obtaining 2 liters of nut vodka per 1 kilo of unshelled nuts. This won’t affect the quality of the alcoholic drink in any way.

Pine Nut Vodka

Initially, this recipe was used to enhance the moonshine properties, but you can enhance vodka or diluted ethanol in the same way.


  • Vodka (moonshine) – 3 liters
  • Pine nuts – 0.5 kilo
  • Sugar (honey) – to taste

Wash the pine nuts and put them in a stock pot, topping them off with water and boiling for 5 minutes. After that, pour off the water and top off again. Now, boil for another 5 minutes. The boiling lets you remove the oil from the pine nuts, thus improving the pine vodka’s taste.

Throw the cooked pine nuts in a colander and put them in a jar. Add vodka and cap the jar. Infuse the mixture for 30 days in a dark place at room temperature. Strain the obtained homemade pine nut vodka through cheesecloth or a layer of cotton wool. Add sugar and honey to taste and stir. Now, your homemade pine nut vodka is ready and can be stored in a fridge or cellar for up to 3 years. It has 33-35% ABV.
